Coeur vibrant du jazz-manouche outre-Atlantique, le festival Django Reinhardt de New York se déroule chaque année au Birdland, mythique salle de jazz située à Manhattan.
Considéré le « Best Jazz show in town! » par le Wall Street Journal, l’événement compte parmi ses fans Leonardo di Caprio ou encore George Benson.
C’est grâce à l’impulsion de Pat Philips et Ettore Stratta producteurs historiques et passionnés du festival que ce disque voit le jour.
Enregistré live à New York par Jack Globenfelt et en studio à Paris, il rassemble les ambassadeurs incontournables du genre : Dorado et Samson Schmitt, Ludovic Beier, Doudou Cuillerier, Francko Mehrstein, Pierre Blanchard,… et invite Anat Cohen, la saxophoniste israélienne.
Regards croisés entre Nouveau Monde et Vieux Continent, cet album savoureux s’inscrit autant dans la pure tradition du jazz manouche, que dans son actualité à l’heure de la mon dialisation.

Three's a Crowd Records based in Irvington NY has licensed the recording Django Festival Allstars-live at Birdland & more to Paris based company
Fremaux & Associates for worldwide distribution. Distribution for Europe and Japan commenced in February and US and Canada is scheduled for April 1st.
The Django Allstars will be touring in June and November in support of the recording. Two weeks each month will be at Birdland in New York and five night are scheduled in June for the SF Jazz collective. This is the 16th annual tour of the Allstars including a closing concert at the Newport Jazz Festival last August.
The recording and tours are produced by Pat Phillips & Ettore Stratta and Jack Globenfelt was the Executive Producer of the recording.
